About Warsaw
Warsaw, the capital of Poland, can be defined with two points: the Wisla River and the Moscow-Berlin road. The city has been the capital for four hundred years and has a history full of ocupations, uprisings, intrigues and heroism. At the moment, Warsaw is a growing and dynamic city.
The first impression of Warsaw may often seem negative, as years of communist rule have left no great glories. However, the pace of social change can be felt when walking in the city centre, which gives way to lots of new initiatives. The Varsovians and generous, highly hospitable and strong – they have rebuilt the old town brick by brick.
