About Tallinn
Tallinn is the largest and capital city of Estonia and also the main seaport of the country. It used to be one of the leading cities of the Hanseatic League. Each of the city’s rulers has left its mark on Tallinn and you will find these reminders everywhere.
The heart of the old town is the cobbled Town Hall Square where you can find many great restaurants and cafes.
There are many old buildings in the city; Kadriorg Palace, home to the nation’s president, is a fine example of Baroque architecture. Its cultivated Park is an excellent place for a walk. Kiek-in-de-Kök is a cannon tower containing a museum that tells the history of the fortifications of Tallinn. The Toomkirik (Cathedral) is the oldest church in Estonia.
Tallinn offers its visitors all the amenities of a big city: tourist attractions, theatres, nightclubs and great shopping facilities.
