About Svendborg
Svendborg is the second largest town in the county of Funen and the major commercial centre of south Funen. The old port of the town has long been a popular boating centre. Svendborg preserves some of its mediaeval heritage, but much of it is being rebuilt and modernised. It is a lively town that offers you a lot to do and see: museums, constantly changing art exhibitions, sports facilities and beach resorts.
On the central plaza, there is a market and the town looks old with its winding streets where brick and half-timbered houses still stand. The pedestrian street Mollergade is one of the oldest streets in Svendborg and is full of various shops.
