About Nelspruit
Nelspruit is the capital of the Mpumalanga province, lying in the valley of the Crocodile River. It is the seat of the provincial government and also a manufacturing and commercial centre. The town is a stop over to the route to Kruger National Park, the primary destination in South Africa. Nelspruit is at its most beautiful in the spring and summer with its countless bougainvilleas, bauhinias and other blooming plants.
Just outside Nelspruit there are the Sudwala Caves, well worth visiting. The Lowveld Botanic Gardens has excellent collections of plant and bird species.
The town enjoys good shops, excellent restaurants and an active nightlife. It also boasts a wide range of recreational facilities.
