About Munich
Munich is not just the venue for the infamous Oktoberfest, but a sanctuary of many sorts of culture. It is a city that enjoys contradicting itself – the capital of Bavaria sees folk traditions and BMWs side by side; it is a mix of calmness and energy.
Munich is also an fascinating film- and fashion centre and has the largest number of publishing houses in the world except New York. For all this, the city is charming and often resembles a large village. The advantage of this for the tourist is that everything is within a short walk and thus easy to visit.
