About Makarska

The Makarska Riviera is one of the most famous tourist locations on the Croatian coast and also one of the most beautiful with numerous sandy beaches, pine trees, sparkling water and peaceful bays. The Makarska area is also known for the Biokovo Mountain, which overlooks the coastal area.

One of the main sights in the town is the Franciscan monastery dating back to the 17 th century. Another important sight is the Paris Church of St. Mark. There is also plenty of entertainment in the town: restaurants offering a variety of tasty dishes, nightclubs, live music on terraces.

Makarska is more famous for its natural beauties than for its cultural attractions, but the real value of this town lies in its cheerful and open-hearted people.
