About Ljubljana

Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, is a very charming and beautiful town with great views of the surrounding mountains. It is the largest and most populous city in Slovenia and feels like a green, clean and self-contented town rather than an important industrious municipality.

Ljubljana began its history as the Roman town of Emona, inheriting much of the presence of Romans to the city. Most of the city’s sights are along the banks of the Ljubljana River. You can visit the Municipal Museum and the Museum of Modern Art or walk round in the old town that offers you many cafes, baroque churches and charming bridges. The trademark of Ljubljana is the castle, which is about a thousand years old.
