About Klaipeda

Klaipeda, Lithuania’s third largest city, is vital to the country’s economy as the main seaport. Klaipeda has developed into a modern city, with the characteristic quays and warehouses of a port and clusters of old buildings. The city centre has a mixture of buildings in various styles, including the old City Hall and the theatre. The streets of the city are old and it is still possible to see the remains of the old castle, citadel, towers and ramparts. A restored fortress houses a Marine Museum, Aquarium and dolphinarium.

Several festivals and activities are organised in the city throughout the year. There is plenty to do in Klaipeda at night as well. You can visit pubs, bars and nightclubs.
