About Graz
Graz, a charming city with a Southern flair, is the second largest city in Austria. The mediaeval city centre is full of Protestant buildings and other palaces that are contrasted by buildings like the old University, the Mausoleum and the Minoritenkirche. The most impressive city mark is the romantic Uhrturm, a tower with the original clockwork from the beginning of the 18 th century.
The spirit of Graz is dominated by its students. Many festivals are organised throughout the year and in 2003, the city was named European Cultural Capital. The city also enjoys a busy nightlife.
