About Gozo
Gozo is a small island, part of the Maltese Archpelago. It is concentrated with a fascinating history, rich in crafts, culture, colour and joy. In comparison with Malta, the island is more rural and peaceful, has a varied geology, flat-topped hills and less built-up areas. Gozo is steeped in myths; it is a mystical backwater.
On Gozo, there are several fortifications and ramparts from the Age of the Knights. There are also numerous interesting museums, churches and other historical buildings on the island. It is home to one of the archipelago’s best-preserved prehistoric temples, Gqantija. There is plenty to do on the island: you can admire the amazing panoramas, go snorkling, fishing or diving or even visit a nightclub.
