About Denmark
The Danes are an open and humorous people. Their country is not less impressive with its sights. Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, is a good example: a modern, international city that has managed to remain cozy and compact, offering great nightlife, several museums and many restaurants. The countryside offers beautiful castles, churches and small fishing villages.
You can relive the age of the Vikings at the Nationalmuseet in Copenhagen, explore the Viking Ship Museum at Roskilde and at Jelling, see the two enormous mounds, one of which was the burial ground of King Gorm.
Although Denmark may be old in appearance, the people are young in attitude – the nightlife is vibrant and continues into the morning.
