About Croatia

Croatia is a country with a mild climate and one of the most outstanding stretches of coastline that Europe has to offer. The capital, Zagreb, is a typical central-European metropolis, combining great architecture with many cultural diversions and an energetic café life.

At the end of the Adriatic coast, on the island of Istria, there are many of Croatia’s best resorts with old Venetian towns like Porec and Rovinj. Further south lies Dalmatia, a mountain-fringed coastline studded with islands. The main town of Dalmatia is Split, an ancient Roman settlement and a modern port. On Croatia’s islands, you can find lively fishing villages and the best of the beaches.
