About Cordoba
In the 11 th century, Cordoba was one of the most important capitals in Europe. Now it is the capital of Andalucia. It is a very lively town in the best Andalucian tradition; a town of Flamenco and bullfighting and certainly one of the most attractive destinations in Spain.
Cordoba has only a few grand squares or mansions, but boasts the tremendous and often wildly extravagant patios. There is even a “Festival of the Patios” taking place every May. Cordoba is a calm town and takes its tranquility rather seriously – the nightlife scene is confined to the a few music bars and clubs.
