About Colmar
Colmar is a city in northeastern France and the head of Colmar prefecture. It is one of the most attractive towns in Alsace and introduces you to a large share of the history of the Alsace region, its artistic wealth and the wine-growing industry. The city is often compared to a historical museum; the most notable of its many museums is the Unterlinden Museum, home to several masterpieces from the Rhine renaissance. The city centre is a charming place with its colours and the atmosphere of the streets that have been preserved since the Middle Ages. Churches, half-timbered houses, facades with wood sculptures and gables all add to the beauty of the centre.
From Colmar, you can take a trip to the nearby Vosge Mountains and visit the wineries scattered through the foothills. The city also offers you various restaurants and pubs and a busy nightlife.
