About Chur
Chur is one of the oldest towns in Switzerland, with archaeological finds dating back to 3,000 BC. The Old Town, filled with cobbled alleys, secret courtyards and solid townhouses, reflects the spirit of the Middle Ages. The huge cathedral towering above the city symbolises the rule of the bishop-princes of the past. Near the cathedral, there is the baroque Bishop’s Palace. The town is home to a Fine Arts Museum and a folklore museum.
There are several wine production areas around Chur. It is also an industrial centre, offering you great shopping facilities as well. For the sports fans, the city together with its surroundings offers hiking, mountain biking, health clubs and great ski resorts.
