Driving Restrictions
The minimum age of a driver is 17 years. Children must be at least 12 years old to sit in the front. Children under 12 years of age and seated in the rear of the vehicle must be in a child seat if fitted. the use of seatbelts is compulsory for all passengers. The maximum legal blood alcohol limit is 0.5‰.
Automatic cameras are used on the streets to catch violators. Tickets will be posted to the offender.
It is illegal to drive with the parking lights only. During bad weather, you must use your low beams.
If you leave your car or stop without loading or unloading passengers for more than 3 minutes, you are considered parked. Parking is forbidden within 5 metres of a pedestrian crossing or an intersection and within 10 metres from a traffic light or stop sign if this might obstruct the view of the signal or sign. No-parking zones are indicated with white zig-zag lines on the street.
