Driving restrictions
The minimum age of a driver is 17 years. Children must be at least 12 years of age to sit in the front. Children under 12 must either sit in the rear of the vehicle or, if in the front, be in a child seat. The legal blood alcohol limit is 0.5‰.
Automatic cameras are used to catch traffic violators. The parking ticket will be posted to the offender.
It is illegal to drive with the parking lights only, but low beams must used during bad weather. Motorcyclists must drive with headlights on at all times.
You are considered parked if you leave your car or stop for 3 minutes, unless you are loading or unloading the vehicle. You are not allowed to park within 5 metres of a pedestrian crossing or intersection, within 10 metres of a traffic light or stop/yield sign if that might obstruct the view of the sign. When parking, you must leave at least 3 metres between your vehicle and the middle of the street or the nearest lane divider.

About Berlin
Berlin, restored as the nation’s capital, expresses the process of reunification and the many moods of Germany. It is the heart of the country, pulsating in the great buildings, museums, theatres and restaurants.
The Wall representing the nation’s disharmony is gone, but a difference between the east and west of Berlin can still be seen – the glitter of the west as opposed to the raggedness of the east.
