About Bergen
Bergen, an old tradesman’s town, is Norway’s second largest city. Retaining much of its local character, it also has a very international flavour. There are many museums, shops and restaurants in the city.
In addition to fishing, shipbuilding and other industrial activities, Bergen is also an important cultural center offering many cultural activities and places. Most of the city’s buildings are modern, and fishermen are outnumbered by business people and technical workers. The city is surrounded by hills and mountains, giving the visitors plenty of opportunities for admiring the beautiful panoramic views.
